Inside Sales Coordinator

Job Description

SUMMARY: The Inside Sales Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting sales execution for Lowe’s Pro Supply (LPS) and Lowe’s Companies, Inc. Special Order Programs (SPO) within the cabinet category. This position is responsible for managing project opportunities from initial lead intake through quote development, order placement, and final delivery.

Acting as a central point of coordination, this role partners closely with Pro Sales teams, Pricing, Design, and Operations to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality execution. The Inside Sales Coordinator is instrumental in driving quote conversion, improving cycle times, and delivering a seamless customer experience for both PRO and retail customers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead & Opportunity Management

  • Manage inbound leads and project opportunities through the BuildSmart portal
  • Qualify and prioritize incoming opportunities to ensure timely follow-up
  • Partner with Lowe’s Pro Sales teams at the store level to support active project pipelines
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all opportunities and customer interactions

2. Quote Development & Sales Support

  • Support project and job quote activity for both LPS and Lowe’s SPO programs
  • Collaborate with Pricing and Sales teams to validate and confirm approved quote pricing
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all quotes prior to customer submission
  • Proactively follow up on outstanding quotes and bids to drive conversion
  • Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to address questions, revisions, and approvals

3. Project Coordination (Quote to Delivery)

  • Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from initial quote to final delivery
  • Serve as liaison to the Design Team for projects requiring design services
  • Secure customer approvals and sign-off on final quotes and orders
  • Track order status, production timelines, and delivery schedules to ensure on-time execution
  • Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams regarding order progress and any issues

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Design, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment and execution
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve order, pricing, or product-related issues
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline quoting and ordering processes

5. Post-Sale Support & Issue Resolution

  • Manage warranty claims and replacement orders through designated portals
  • Act as primary point of contact for post-order customer inquiries and issue resolution
  • Ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of customer concerns to maintain high service levels

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in inside sales, sales support, customer service, or project coordination
  • Experience supporting high-volume quoting or order management environments
  • Prior experience in building products, cabinetry, home improvement, or construction-related industries strongly preferred
  • Experience working with or supporting large retail accounts such as Lowe’s Companies, Inc. or similar is a plus
  • Familiarity with PRO / contractor sales or multi-family projects preferred

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and CRM/order management systems
  • Experience working with quoting tools, portals, or ERP systems (e.g., BuildSmart or similar platforms)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in managing quotes and orders
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams (Sales, Design, Pricing, Operations)
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues

Preferred / Differentiators

  • Exposure to cabinet design software such as 2020 Design
  • Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and product configuration processes
  • Experience with pricing validation, margin awareness, or quote approvals
  • Background supporting Special Order Programs (SPO) or similar custom-order environments
