Our Story

1993
one simple vision
A Canadian Engineering student, Indrakumar Pathmanathan (Indy), founds MagickWoods with one simple vision; to make beautiful cabinetry available to everyone. Corporate headquarters are set up in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

1995 — 2009
into the new millennium
After selling innovative bath products in the dealer and home builder arenas, MagickWoods breaks into the home center channel with Menards, growing from just a few designs to a comprehensive bath line. With continued growth into The Home Depot Canada and Lowe’s US, came the opening of the India manufacturing facility.

2010 — 2015
kitchens are born
MagickWoods launches kitchen division, starting in the dealer and home builder channel with a high-end semi-custom line of cabinetry. In 2015, MagickWoods diversified the kitchen division, bringing its greatest innovation to big-box retailers, a unique modular kitchen line in all Menards stores across the United States.

2017
new facility in Aurora
The company opens its 450,000 sq ft fully automated distribution and assembly facility in Aurora, Illinois to better serve the fast-growing customer base across the United States and Canada.

2018 — 2020
e-comm & special order
Kitchens continue to expand in the big box retail sector with the development of a special-order kitchen program for Lowe’s Canada and a nationwide
e-commerce program for The Home Depot US.

2021
the vision continues
Today, with Indy as Chairman, the company remains proudly privately owned and true to its original vision. Now a global operation, MagickWoods kitchen and bath cabinets adorn thousands of homes across the US and Canada.
